In My Field of Paper Flowers - A Digital Manipulation

This image was inspired by the song "Imaginary" by Evanescence:

Chorus:
"In my field of paper flowers...

and candy clouds of lullaby
i lie inside myself for hours
and watch my purple sky fly over me"

The flowers are made out of paper that say "I Love You."

The trick to creating this piece was the selection tools and the blending options.  I used pretty much any and all the selection tools in photoshop to isolate the various paper flowers.  For the clouds I layers three pictures into one sky using blending options such as Screen.  With the girl I used a Selective Color adjustment layer to make the field she was originally in bland more smoothly with my chosen background.

This is my first manip using stock images from DeviantArt! Hurray! I'm trying to comply with all the stock creators' rules, lemme know if I'm missing anything. Huge thanks to the stock creators:
